creative finds | this weekend’s top five

| This week I have been stressing over how to decorate my new office / blog area / craft corner. These are the big issues that keep me up at night! I was wandering around Typo and spotted these metal crates; they’re mini and marvellous and gave me a good starting point for the rest of the decorating process. The office pics will be up soon but the colour combo in the pic above gives you a nice preview!

| How I wish I had a guest bedroom I could deck out in this amazing purple colour scheme! This Kas bedding extravaganza was a real stand out when I was in the stores at the weekend. If I wasn’t fearful of security escorting me out of Myer in the CBD – where I spotted this sensory overload – I would have dived in and rolled around. Isn’t it luxe and lovely?

| If these amazing Po espresso mugs are any indication of the talent that is coming out of Holland, get me on the red eye for an immediate flight over. I spotted this colourful set of four in Bristol and Brooks in Chifley Plaza in Sydney’s CBD. Now, if only I drank espresso!

| I’ve had these three pieces of art sitting around for quite some time and after this weekend’s massive clean and tidy efforts (thanks to Sydney’s horrible, rainy weather) they finally all came together on my dining room wall. The two on the left are from IKEA and the red, grey and dark brown colours speak to the similar tones in the vintage piece on the right. They seem like a new-meets-old match made in heaven!

| I can always count on Kikki K to bring me a little slice of happiness and their new ‘enjoy the little things’ range certainly did the trick when I was in-store. Though the lovely shop assistant asked me not to snap photos, I had already captured this one so couldn’t help but share. The hot pink tones contrast really nicely against the black and white.
