| I spotted these amazing apple pendants on the Modflowers blog this week and I’m absolutely smitten with them. The apples are hand crafted, while the fabric is vintage and sourced by Modflowers’ creator Sharon Everest. They’re in short supply at the moment but keep your eyes peeled for upcoming releases – and scope out Sharon’s Etsy store for some very happy fabric creations!
| I am a sucker for street art and this striped cat in Chippendale blew my mind for a few reasons. Firstly, well, it’s a cat! But more importantly, the name Mim is written on its tail and my cat’s name is Mim. I swear I did not paint this cat, but it sure makes for a pleasant coincidence! The colour combo of black, white and charcoal grey is right up my alley too.
| I love stationery, colour and graphic patterns; these cards from Opus Design Co combine all three and certainly make a bold statement. Personally, I would place the ‘Forever Young’, ‘Love You’ and ‘One in a Million’ cards in frames at home as I enjoy using stationery like this in multipurpose ways (check out my post on cards in frames).
| I turn somewhat demonic without a morning coffee, so when I popped by the Supa Centa Moore Park for a gander I grabbed this colourful cappuccino from Dish Espresso. I have to say, they’re coffee and brekkie items are to die for – and a pop of orange is always a nice way to start the day. Side note: I turn demonic without constant coffee throughout the day, not just breakfast. Hooked on caffeine!
| I like decorative items that stray from the norm and this silver skull from Sky Parlour in Kensington is a perfect example of this. I like the spook factor. It would be easy enough to soften this and add contrast by placing it on a stack of fabric-covered books or nestling it beside a vase of flowers. Dare to be different with your decor and you’ll create some real talking pieces in your home.
| I start my design course at the international school of colour and design this week so it was both timely and very exciting to get this Lappland bag from kikki K – a gift for my birthday from my partner. I have always been head over heels for felt and this colour is absolute perfection too. I can’t wait to use it as my school bag. Winning!
| My store tour of Terrace Outdoor Living is coming this week, but this deer tray was too good not to share sooner. It would play so well with the Adairs Birch Forest bedding collection I snapped a few weeks back in my creative finds. It would not only make a fabulous drinks tray but you could even pop it up on the wall as instant art!
