| I was smiling from ear to ear when my glorious business cards arrived this week courtesy of the graphic design genius Amber Stapff at Sprowt Graphic Design. The entire process was seamless. Amber really understood the vibe of the blog and incorporated all the key elements I was after; the black circle, the chevron, my lowercase tlc and the colours I was looking for. I am absolutely in love with them. What do you think?
| Now you know I love a candle, but I’ve never seen anything quite as special as these ones from Bumble Candles. The brainchild of husband and wife team Mark and Melanie, this local company uses 100% pure Australian beeswax and features some stunning designs that you don’t see everywhere. My fave has to be the mini beehive candle. Have you ever seen anything so adorable? You can catch the team at a variety of markets around Sydney and beyond – so check their website for full details.
| My obsession with bird ornaments was further fed when I wandered into Adairs in the Supa Centa Moore Park and discovered this owl lamp. What can I say – I just love this guy! The colour is phenomenal, the finish is shabby chic and he would be a very welcome addition to my industrial home. Can we keep him? He doesn’t eat much and I will totally look after him!
| Surely you must know by now that I have both feet firmly planted in Crazy Cat Lady Territory. So when I got my paws (see what I did there?) on this tea towel from the gals at Two Cat Ladies I was over the moon. Being a full time Sub Editor, I am rather fond of a pun, so this piece speaks to me on a few levels. Genius!
| The Museum of Contemporary Art Store is a treasure trove for people who want to find cute books, ornaments, toys and – most importantly – cards like the ones above. It’s a cat in a cone – too good to resist! And who doesn’t love fairy bread? I’ve already explained in previous posts how I like to collect cards so I am fully prepared when an occasion rolls around. Don’t judge me; it’s completely practical!
| Be still my beating heart! If I see one more industrial piece of furniture I swear it is going to blissfully tip me over the edge into some kind of mental episode. I am absolutely in love with this piece from Oz Design. The wood, the metal, the sprayed on wording and numbers; it has everything I am fond of and more. Someone call me a medic – I am about to go bananas.
| As you may know, I am doing a Cert IV in Design at the International School of Colour and Design. What you may not know is that at the end of the course, we design a rug. The winner’s rug is actually produced for sale. I could die with excitement. The rug on the right, that is currently hanging up on campus, is the most recent winner’s, Tina Murray-Walker. I am a huge fan of this piece and can only hope I produce something even close to this level of quality!
