| Etsy is like that rabbit hole in Alice in Wonderland; it’s a whole world of amazing that I don’t want to come back from. I came across the wondrous Camp Koodle this week and had this frame made for me by founder and creative Katie Koodle. It was a gift for my Mother-in-Law and it was very well received indeed. Contact Katie and have your own made up or take a look at her other marvellous creations over in her store.
| I had a few mags hit my mailbox this week, but the most colourful and cute by far was issue 10 of Bespoke Magazine. I was particularly taken by the pages detailing how to have your own crafternoon at home with friends. Anyone fancy popping around with some coffee and a delve into my craft box? Yes, I have a craft box. You’ll see what I mean further down!
| I had a blast this week at the Write Away Summer Showcase and meeting the legendary Isabelle von Boch from Villeroy & Boch was by far the highlight. She gave me one of their new-release NewWave Caffe Cities of the World mugs as you can see above – and I absolutely love the iconic illustrations on it. More Villery & Boch love is hitting the blog this week, so stay tuned!
| Country Road had loads of news coming out of their headquarters this week, one of which was their Indigo pop-up store. As if I needed another reason to be insanely jealous that I don’t live in Melbourne. This shot of some of their beautiful wares was too good not to include as a Creative Find this week. Just get a load of those shoes; the brown and blue are a match made in footwear heaven. I want. I need.
| I do go a bit batty for a stripe – and a stripe on a straw is really just taking things to a whole new level of awesomeness. This refreshing moment came courtesy of Kitchen by Mike, where I had brekkie before my mind-blowing wander around Koskela last weekend. Sometimes it really is the little things that make all the difference. And a straw like this really does make a difference (well, to me, anyway!).
| I feel like tea towels are the new cushion. And by that I mean that there’s too many amazing designs and I’m accumulating a huge collection. This one arrived courtesy of Kitchen Ink and I must say that I’m going a little gaga over it. The design is daring but the colours are kept subtle; it’s a wondrous combination if you ask me!
| Yes, I’m a 31-year-old man with a craft box and I’m not afraid to admit it. Actually, the one featured here is just one of many (purchased from IKEA). I discovered it under my bed this week and realised it contained a heap of fabric I had completely forgotten about (you know you’ve got issues with fabric when you have so many you lose them). I’ve been inspired to whip out the sewing machine and make some cushions with the fabrics, so hopefully I’ll have something grand to show you soon!
