So I got invited to a media event today to take a look at Rust-Oleum‘s new range of spray paints, 2X Ultra Cover. Granted, I had not heard of Rust-Oleum before, so I was going in with a bit of a blank, Miss Teen type look on my face. Once I was at the event, though, and saw what I could do with these spray paints, I wanted to run through the place taking every colour available and yelling at security “Back off – I’m a blogger!!!!”.
The main selling points of these spray paints, for me anyway, were that you could use it on just about every surface imaginable; wood, wicker, metal, plaster, unglazed ceramics, most plastics and more (it’s also a paint and primer in one).
Plus, it delivers twice the coverage of other spray paints. For crafters and DIY-ers like me, that means you’re not doing multiple coats whilst getting finger fatigue (they actually call it that) as you hold down the nozzle. Score!
ABOVE: Get a load of the amazing before and after on this old set of drawers!
The range of colours is out of this world too. All the usual players are there, plus some unique hues, neons and metallics like the Antique Brass one I scored above. I cannot wait to get it all over some frames and pencil holders for my office. It also means I have a new excuse to go scavenging on council cleanup day – bring it on!
The Rust-Oleum 2X range is available at Bunnings for only $12.95!
