I don’t quite know how to describe Parterre other than to say it’s quite magical and enchanting. I’ve driven past it a few times and also been into the store on the odd occasion and am constantly blown away by how gloriously French-inspired their world is. Set over two levels with a majestic outdoor space, this Woollahra wonderland is a must-see for locals who love quality, old-world wares. And for those of you who aren’t in Sydney, take a virtual tour here!

Ground Floor

As you can see from the pictures, the ground floor is just too divine for words. That grand, wooden hutch is by far my favourite piece; it makes such a statement but is subdued and retains a sense of elegant charm about it. That’s sort of what I think Parterre is really; it says so much without the shouting. Every piece in this store feels like it has lived a life (and I love homewares with a story!).

Rear Garden

The back of the store opens onto a beautiful outdoor space; drenched with sunlight in parts, hugged by moss in others and drizzled with breathtaking pieces throughout. There is nothing in this space I wouldn’t want to own. The bird ornament, the rusted mirror, the lions head in that gorgeous teal hue; I want to camp out in this area and never return home.

Upstairs Level

Below: I discovered some colour upstairs and selfied the moment (pure ecstasy).

Well there you have it, Creatives, my Store Tour of the magical Parterre; part French-inspired, part antique, part weathered and wonderful and 100% must-see. It’s definitely the place to go to discover true statement pieces for your home you’ll hold onto for years.

Drop me a comment below and let me know if you’ve been to the store or if this post has swayed you to do so!
