1 | I couldn’t be happier to see Christmas bibs and bobs out in all the stores. These Santa baubles I spotted in Bed Bath N’ Table were perhaps the cutest from the stack of decorations they’re currently selling. Christmas brings the little kid out in me and these baubles are so playful – I want to overhaul my colour scheme with these bad boys immediately!

1 | When the courier delivered this bad boy to my house a few days ago, I ripped the package open like a kid on Christmas morn. Once I opened New Zealand Interior Style, things just got better. This release from Penguin Books gives you a good squiz into a variety of NZ homes, from the calm to the kooky – and celebrates the notion of embracing your individual style. I’ll have a full book review coming your way on the blog this week (it’s magic!).

1 | My class at iscd had to design Christmas cards for one of our assignments this week gone by and this was my submission. They’re meant to be cards for a corporate client, which I assume means there should be a more serious, less-fun tone to the design, but I still think this passes. I love the colours and the mosaic-inspired look I’ve gone for here – and it remains festive without being too OTT. What do you think?

1 | I’m in the process of doing over my office space at the moment with a bit of a monochromatic forest theme – and this darling little deer from Typo is the latest inclusion. I hit the store on Friday and bagged a few bargains, but this one was by far the standout. I am yet to name her though; any ideas?
creative finds reloaded: my 10 fave discoveries
1 | I went gaga for these washi tape candles from The Tealight Co earlier in the year. Sometimes the simplest ideas are the nicest ones and putting six glorious washi tape designs on tealights is a perfect example of this. The black snowflake tape was my fave back then and still is now. I got these through Superking Australia (and you can too).

1 | There were gasps at every turn on Thursday when I popped into Parterre in Woollahra for a wander about. This store is an absolute dreamboat, filled with ornate french homewares, furniture and of course, this glorious stone bird – which has only further fuelled my obsession with bird ornaments. A full store tour of this local wonderland is coming soon!

1 | The new issue of Real Living magazine hit my mailbox this week and I have to admit that it’s probably my fave cover yet. My home is a huge mix of varying styles and colours, so I was rather relieved to see style clashing listed as a new trend (my homewares purchase anxiety has actually paid off!). I’m also a fan of a bright homeware, so this cover really spoke to that!

1 | This week I had the pleasure of assisting the talented Deb McClean in the styling of the Paint Place Trend Forecast event. We got these delightful flowers from Buds & Bowers in Surry Hills, and after the event I got to take them home. How nice are they? They’re sitting pretty in my IKEA tumbler on my office desk and add a nice pop of colour to the space.

1 | I scored this bunny when I attended last week’s TheHome Spring Launch and finally gave him a home this weekend on my partner’s desk. I’m yet to name him, but I’ve concluded that he’s a bit of a ladies man who doesn’t mind a bit of a shandy here and there. Rather fitting then that I placed him beside my Pigeon & Weasel candle; he feels right at home here!

1 | I know, I know, my top find features garbage bins. But, those aside, how amazing is this Marilyn Monroe street art – complete with a set of pearly white vamp chompers? I spotted this graffiti in Kings Cross when I was on the way to TheHome Spring Launch this week and had to take a snap. Street art tends to divide people but I am definitely all for it when it’s done well.
