flower lovin’ at florals by silva

IMG_4517

I was taken aback last week when I popped into The Grounds of Alexandria for a coffee and a wander about. I hadn’t realised that there was a florist there (or perhaps I had just been in when this section of the grounds was closed). Needless to say, it was a marvellous discovery and I whipped out my camera to capture some of the floral phenomenon at Florals by Silva.

my new distressed coasters from stone inspired

P1130255

I’ve been through my fair share of coasters over the years. Not only because some of them fall apart, but because it’s hard to hone in on a style that feels timeless as well as working from a practical perspective (a cork coaster is a one way ticket to Absorption City). P1100117

Finally, at the weekend, I secured my parking spot and wandered in to see what all the fuss was about. Now I know: it’s heaven.

working the rustic roadside ladder

P1060112

I always let out a little chuckle when homewares mags say they ‘just found this piece on the side of the road’ (of course you did!). But I was left trying to convince people of the same thing when I found this amazing rustic ladder across the road during a council cleanup (ok homewares mags, I’ll let you off this time).
