I had been coveting New Zealand Interior Style online for weeks and thankfully it finally hit my doorstep recently, filled to the brim with inspirational homes from across the pond. Author LeeAnn Yare, who is also a freelance interior stylist, has collated some of the best homes New Zealand has to offer, all of which seem to have a theme of being far more daring than their Australian cousins. This post will take a look at some of my fave pages from the book and what I love about the NZ design aesthetic (fun!).

review: abigail ahern’s decorating with style

Alert the presses, Creatives; I have been converted! Once a lover of all things light and bright in interiors (you know, sunshine and lollipops, a place where it’s always spring), this release from style maven Abigail Ahern has given me a wondrous appreciate of interiors with mood. The pictures within this release are somewhat dark, very alluring and quite unlike anything I’ve ┬álaid eyes upon in an interiors book (and you know I have many).

this week’s top seven creative finds

1 | I love a good book (well, homewares book) and I love the opportunity to eat, drink and gossip. How fitting then that this awesome tea towel from Tea Towel Empire came my way this week. I love their ban on floral designs and their tongue-in-cheek approach. They have a whole world of varying text-clad tea towels, but this one has to be my favourite – love the colours!

i’m reading happy home by charlotte hedeman gueniau

I thought I was a fan of colour and extremely adverse to the use of beige until I picked up Happy Home by the founder of Danish homewares company RICE, Charlotte Hedeman Gueniau. It clearly states from the get-go that not all Danish design is about cool and calm interiors and I must admit, the whole ethos of the book being fun, colour and enjoyment speaks to me like the new Pope speaks to the man upstairs (and I sometimes talk back)!
