flower lovin’ at florals by silva

IMG_4517

I was taken aback last week when I popped into The Grounds of Alexandria for a coffee and a wander about. I hadn’t realised that there was a florist there (or perhaps I had just been in when this section of the grounds was closed). Needless to say, it was a marvellous discovery and I whipped out my camera to capture some of the floral phenomenon at Florals by Silva.

a morning at the horses birthday fete

P1130350

This morning I finally decided to check out The Cannery in Rosebery, which is right beside the amazing Koskela and The School of Megan Morton. After I grabbed a bacon butty and coffee, I was delighted to discover that on premises was the stunning Horses Birthday Fete. The apples are hand crafted, while the fabric is vintage and sourced by Modflowers’ creator Sharon Everest. They’re in short supply at the moment but keep your eyes peeled for upcoming releases – and scope out Sharon’s Etsy store for some very happy fabric creations!

P1100374

A trip to the Entertainment Quarter Village Markets was about to change all that, as I wandered through this extravaganza of fresh produce, flowers and random wares. It was the start of a blossoming romance!

fancy making a brekkie in bed tray?

P1060574

Surely I am not the only one who goes to Spotlight (or any craft store) for no purpose other than to see what you can make with their current stock. Case in point – this brekkie in bed tray – which started off as plain, MDF-style wood and ended up looking rather cute!
