It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of The Grounds of Alexandria. I’ve shown you just how breathtaking this venue is before on my garden tour. So when I caught word that they were putting on Mother’s Day markets, well, it kicked my excitement levels into overdrive and of course, I had to check it out. From flowers to food to farm animals – it was all there – and I snapped it like a fiend for your viewing pleasure!

I’ve been ordering my groceries online lately. Advantage: I have more time of a weekend to do store tours. Downside: I don’t get my in-person food fix! A trip to the Entertainment Quarter Village Markets was about to change all that, as I wandered through this extravaganza of fresh produce, flowers and random wares. It was the start of a blossoming romance!

Every time I drive to IKEA (which you’d know by now is quite often) I go past The Grounds of Alexandria; masses of cars are desperate to park around this newly established haven and it’s always swarming with people. Finally, at the weekend, I secured my parking spot and wandered in to see what all the fuss was about. Now I know: it’s heaven.
