1 | I know, I know, my top find features garbage bins. But, those aside, how amazing is this Marilyn Monroe street art – complete with a set of pearly white vamp chompers? I spotted this graffiti in Kings Cross when I was on the way to TheHome Spring Launch this week and had to take a snap. Street art tends to divide people but I am definitely all for it when it’s done well.

why i’m smitten with design biz visual imprint

It was a wake-up call moment following the 2009 Black Saturday Bushfires that led to partners Suzi Kerr and Denis Spooner creating their design business, Visual Imprint. “You realise that life can be cut short at any moment,” Suzi tells me. “Best to spend our time on this planet doing something you really enjoy”. That event, along with Suzi’s love for interior decor and Denis’ passion for printing, spawned a creative journey the two are now enjoying immense success on.

10 creative finds you never got to see

I was struck down with a cold this week, which meant getting out and about to snap some creative finds was very much off the cards. Thankfully, though, I have an entire vault of photos from my adventures around the traps; which means you get to see 10 very gorgeous finds that never made it onto my usual top seven. 1 | I love street art when it’s done well and this piece – that I came across from an adventure in Fitzroy last year – is just amazing. 1 | I didn’t think tealight candles could get any prettier in giving a room some atmosphere until I cast my eyes on this gang of six from the masterminds at The Tealight Co (the Black Snowflake is my fave). These soy wax candles – available via Superking Australia – use rice paper washi tape and are all about embracing colour and light. I’m sold; I’ll take 650 in each colour thanks!

1 | I spotted these amazing apple pendants on the Modflowers blog this week and I’m absolutely smitten with them. The apples are hand crafted, while the fabric is vintage and sourced by Modflowers’ creator Sharon Everest. They’re in short supply at the moment but keep your eyes peeled for upcoming releases – and scope out Sharon’s Etsy store for some very happy fabric creations!

1 | I’m kind of in love with these Converse sneakers from Topman. They’re a camel and red dream. If only they belonged to me (they’re the property of my lucky boyfriend). I can’t even wear them because he’s one size larger (first world problem!). Still, you can leave them lying around the house because they look pretty decorative – bonus!
