1 | It was Mumma Creatives 60th birthday on Saturday, so I pulled my craft box out (yes, I am a 31 year old man with a craft box!) and made some personalised gift tags using paint card samples from Bunnings. I love using these cards because the range of colours is just amazing. With the help of a balloon-shaped hole punch I got from Lincraft, I made my own little gift tags that are very one-of-a-kind. What do you think?

have you been to the new lakota trading?

as_lakota_trading_CM12

Is it possible to fall in love with a photograph? Because these ones of the brand new Lakota Trading in Kensington – snapped by the amazing Cath Muscat – are making my heart skip a beat. In case you’re out of the loop on exactly what Lakota Trading is – brace yourself. It is, without a doubt, one of the best used furniture emporiums Sydney has to offer. And thanks to a change in ownership, it has a new lease of life and its vintage charm is going to take the city by storm!

P1110717

It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of The Grounds of Alexandria. I’ve shown you just how breathtaking this venue is before on my garden tour. So when I caught word that they were putting on Mother’s Day markets, well, it kicked my excitement levels into overdrive and of course, I had to check it out. From flowers to food to farm animals – it was all there – and I snapped it like a fiend for your viewing pleasure!

The apples are hand crafted, while the fabric is vintage and sourced by Modflowers’ creator Sharon Everest. They’re in short supply at the moment but keep your eyes peeled for upcoming releases – and scope out Sharon’s Etsy store for some very happy fabric creations!

1 | I saw this polka dot Home Republic¬†bedspread¬†on the Adairs website on Friday and high-tailed it to the Supa Centa Moore Park on Saturday to grab this bad boy. I just love how happy it is. The pic above is a media image, sadly, but once I have it on my bed and my side tables are decked out appropriately you’ll see full pics. Side note; the underside is aqua. Too good!

the very vintage lakota trading in kensington

Lakota Trading VIntage Glass Bottles on Shelf

A walk into Lakota Trading – nestled just a few streets away from Anzac Parade in Kensington – is like a stroll through your grandmother’s attic; every piece of glassware, furniture and decoration seems to have lived a life. In short, it’s a cute little hub of all things vintage in the area and makes a very welcome addition to the Eastern Suburbs!
