1 | It was Mumma Creatives 60th birthday on Saturday, so I pulled my craft box out (yes, I am a 31 year old man with a craft box!) and made some personalised gift tags using paint card samples from Bunnings. I love using these cards because the range of colours is just amazing. With the help of a balloon-shaped hole punch I got from Lincraft, I made my own little gift tags that are very one-of-a-kind. I’ve received some glorious kudos this week from both the team at IKEA and you divine Creatives for the living room makeover I performed over the weekend (shucks and thanks!). One of the stars of the show was this personalised serving tray that I took from birch wood to black and white stripe. The process is really straight-forward but I think the results are pretty smashing. Here’s how to pimp your own tray if you’re in the mood for a quick project!

creative finds | this easter weekend’s top seven

Now I’m never one to complain about a four day weekend, but I was gutted to discover that so many homewares stores were closed (first world problem!). Not that it slowed me down entirely; I just packed a lot into the two days the stores were trading and got to a few bars in-between (all for research, you see).

1 | The Clock Hotel just underwent a killer renovation and I had to go to scope out the new-and-improved decor (it had nothing to do with wanting a wine!). These mind-blowing orange and teal industrial stools – clustered together to make a faux table – were just too good and reminded me of my industrial coffee table. I have an entire tour of the hot and happening new Clock coming up this week!
