I’ve received some glorious kudos this week from both the team at IKEA and you divine Creatives for the living room makeover I performed over the weekend (shucks and thanks!). One of the stars of the show was this personalised serving tray that I took from birch wood to black and white stripe. The process is really straight-forward but I think the results are pretty smashing. Here’s how to pimp your own tray if you’re in the mood for a quick project!

I can always turn to the team at Typo when it comes time to rotate my office trinkets, pimp out my homewares or update my stationery. For July, they have not disappointed me in the slightest with their range of fun and bright new items. Shall we take a look at my top picks from Typo for the month of July? Yes, I think we should!
getting organised with officeworks
Life as a full time sub editor, columnist, stylist-in-the-making and blogger really does get a little chaotic. If I had a dollar for every time I woke up at 3am thinking about what project was due or if my blog posts were ready to upload, well, I’d be raking in the cash! Thankfully, to ensure I get some much needed beauty sleep, Officeworks has saved me with a brand new fashion stationery range to keep my life sorted – and in an array of pretty pastel colours, too!

which-are-you-wednesday: mugs
I’ve gone through more mugs than I have underwear over the years, because stores continue to churn them out at lightening speed. I think a mug says a lot about who are you. I was using a Bold and the Beautiful mug at work for a while. I hope everyone understood the irony. It was five dollars from Coles, so it seemed foolish not to grab it. But I digress. Onto this week’s which-are-you-Wednesday: mugs!
ABOVE: The Global Colour mug has a distinctive Bollywood feel. Bright, bold and anything but boring, they add a sense of adventure to you sip! (Stockist: The Aparttment).
pimp your office with typo’s new releases
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; Typo is hands down the place to go for affordable stationery, giftware and decorative pieces. It also happens to make me feel rather youthful and so very on-trend every time I visit the store. They’ve blended the right amount of form and function (with a dash of hipster chic) and their latest releases for your office are no different. Let’s pimp it out!
market picks for a glorious mother’s day
1 | You know what I always say; the presentation is just as important as the present itself. Thankfully Kikki K has you covered when it comes to their range of Mother’s Day cards, wrapping and ribbon – in beautiful pink, white and pale green hues. It’s all very floral and feminine and is sure to have Mumma smiling on the big day!
colour trend | decorating with neon
If there’s a homewares store that’s not stocking neon at the moment, I certainly haven’t come across it. This fantastic fad is trending hard and with good reason; it’s a great way to inject some wow factor to an otherwise so-so colour scheme. Shall we have a look at some successful neon decorating ideas and where you can get them? Yes, we shall!
stationery bliss at little paper lane
I’d known for a long time – being an absolute stationery lover – that an expedition to Little Paper Lane in Sydney’s Northern Beaches was going to be an awe-inspiring experience. I wasn’t quite ready, though, for just how jaw-droppingly amazing it actually was (cue the love song!).
i went a little crazy with decorative paper
Once upon a time, a stationery addict discovered that craft stores stocked sheets of decorative, textured paper. Once this discovery was made, covering items around the home with paper got a little out of control…
