trending: stylish skulls (and where to buy them)

P1110447

The skull trend is showing no signs of slowing down. I spotted my first one earlier in the year when they were most prominent in the market, but the trend just doesn’t want to go away. Not that I’m complaining; I love the edginess this look can give to a home. And luckily, they’re popping up not only as ornaments, but in pot plants, cushions, glassware and more. 1 | Etsy is like that rabbit hole in Alice in Wonderland; it’s a whole world of amazing that I don’t want to come back from. I came across the wondrous Camp Koodle this week and had this frame made for me by founder and creative Katie Koodle. It was a gift for my Mother-in-Law and it was very well received indeed. Brace yourselves, Creatives, this one’s a goodie!

I first came across Terrace Outdoor Living courtesy of their pop-up store at the Supa Centre Moore Park. I was a little saddened to hear they were closing down until I realised their flagship store in Woollahra housed everything that their pop-up store did – and then some! I took to this Eastern Suburbs haven for all this green and outdoors and snapped my fave pieces!

1 | I spotted these amazing apple pendants on the Modflowers blog this week and I’m absolutely smitten with them. The apples are hand crafted, while the fabric is vintage and sourced by Modflowers’ creator Sharon Everest. They’re in short supply at the moment but keep your eyes peeled for upcoming releases – and scope out Sharon’s Etsy store for some very happy fabric creations!
