I need a cushion intervention. There, I said it. I’m big enough to admit that I have a hungry obsession for them that shows no signs of slowing down! Cushions are the easiest way to breathe new life into a space, and they’re my first go-to item when my room looks tired. How glorious then that Oz Design and I are teaming up to have you win one (I’m going to live vicariously through you because my couch is refusing to allow another cushion on).
This Friday and Saturday, Nicole and Sarah – the duo behind local business Ginger Elliott – will be showcasing their second collection of carefully curated vintage furniture and homewares for just two days. And the even better news; attend the Open House on Saturday and score a free Styling with Flowers demonstration with stylist Naomi Lee!
I do love me a new website showcasing some stunning wares for the home. Even better when it’s by two local ladies who’ve taken their passion for interiors and created something both attainable and breathtaking. Creatives, meet Bonnie Bazaar; a boutique of carefully curated homewares – selected to create interior gorgeousness (and Lord knows I love a bit of gorgeousness!).
I’ve sung the praises of homewares haven Country Road before on my glorious store tour. Now, I have morsels of fab news hot off the press. Its freshness is guaranteed and it’s 100% fat-free – bonus! Read on to find out more about their upcoming Share Your Space competition, their Indigo pop-up store and their online gift registry. It’s a triple threat of news without the shoulder pads.
1 | I had my socks rocked off this week when I got my hands on this amazing trio of concrete candle holders from Melbourne company Sarai Homewares. Available in a range of colours – including neon – these three holders are made and set in recycled moulds, which is all rather environmentally friendly! The company also stocks my other love – cushions – and more!
I’ve never really understood homes that are styled within an inch of their lives and manage to say nothing about the people who live there. At TLC HQ, it’s all about personalisation, comfort and reflecting who I am and what’s happening in my life. In saying that, though, I do like things to have their place (and certain objects are not for the curious claws of the satanic sisters that are better know as my two cats). Enter this glorious find from Papaya!
There’s simply no denying the fact that I’m a bit obsessed with colour. Yes, I understand and have even posted about the fact that beige can be beautiful – and I fully appreciate the swoon-worthy qualities that a Scandi scheme possesses. But for me, dear Creatives, it’s all about a high-intensity hues. You can see why I was delighted to feast my eyes on these Terracotta Treasures then!
1 | It was Mumma Creatives 60th birthday on Saturday, so I pulled my craft box out (yes, I am a 31 year old man with a craft box!) and made some personalised gift tags using paint card samples from Bunnings. I love using these cards because the range of colours is just amazing. With the help of a balloon-shaped hole punch I got from Lincraft, I made my own little gift tags that are very one-of-a-kind. What do you think?
When the team from Papaya invited me for an exclusive tour of their Mosman store last week, it’s safe to say I was a little beside myself. I’ve been a longtime fan of the brand, always rather fond of their contemporary designs and use of raw materials. When I stepped into the interior of this North Sydney oasis, it was like being transported into another universe, where I lost my mind in the best way possible and am not certain I have it back yet.
I can always turn to the team at Typo when it comes time to rotate my office trinkets, pimp out my homewares or update my stationery. For July, they have not disappointed me in the slightest with their range of fun and bright new items. Shall we take a look at my top picks from Typo for the month of July? Yes, I think we should!
