This morning I finally decided to check out The Cannery in Rosebery, which is right beside the amazing Koskela and The School of Megan Morton. After I grabbed a bacon butty and coffee, I was delighted to discover that on premises was the stunning Horses Birthday Fete. Running all weekend from 10am to 4pm, it was a marvellous, magical and featured the extraordinary Megan Morton and a stack of other Creatives. What more could you ask for?

you must check out the nest pop up shop
I love a pop up shop because it’s like one of those summer flings you have; everything about it is good and then he moves away before you realise he actually fancied your best friend. Ok, I have never actually had that happen – I saw it in a movie once. But the point is, pop up shops are glorious because they’re a short burst of sunshine where you can grab some breathtaking pieces you won’t see everywhere. Case in point: this weekend’s Nest pop up shop! I’m all over it!
mother’s day markets at the grounds
It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of The Grounds of Alexandria. I’ve shown you just how breathtaking this venue is before on my garden tour. So when I caught word that they were putting on Mother’s Day markets, well, it kicked my excitement levels into overdrive and of course, I had to check it out. From flowers to food to farm animals – it was all there – and I snapped it like a fiend for your viewing pleasure!
flowers, food and fun at the EQ village markets
I’ve been ordering my groceries online lately. Advantage: I have more time of a weekend to do store tours. Downside: I don’t get my in-person food fix! A trip to the Entertainment Quarter Village Markets was about to change all that, as I wandered through this extravaganza of fresh produce, flowers and random wares. It was the start of a blossoming romance!
creative finds | this weekend’s top five
1. String of IKEA solar lights = pop of colour!
This string of solar lights was as cheap as chips and contrasts nicely against the bamboo fence in my outdoor entertaining area. I’m going to be using them in a few weeks at a party I am having to ring in Summer in Australia – bring it on!
