so i got to baking some cupcakes recently

I’m the first to admit that baking is not my strong suit; I’m far more skilled at putting a room together than I am whipping up a pavlova. But I got in the kitchen recently and gave baking muffins a go anyway. And of course, when I say “I”, what I mean is that my partner did most of the baking; I took pictures, asked when they would be ready and consumed the results. Which, I must argue, is most of the hard work right there (recipe is included in this post, too: macadamia, white choc and berry muffins).

a little indulgence at sparkle cupcakery

It’s safe to say that I’m addicted to sugar. If I didn’t run regularly I’m not sure in what state my body would be in (actually, a pretty blissful one). In any event, I was delighted to pop into the wonder that is Sparkle Cupcakery at the weekend and finally try one of their fantastic cupcake creations. I’m going to keep it real and admit that they’re going to be a staple in my diet from here on in because they’re that good. And on a sidenote, I will need to run more.

why you’re going to love *bespoke* magazine

This week I got the opportunity to fall in love with a new magazine; one that blends arts, crafts, creative people, places and more. Sounds a little bit like The Life Creative, don’t you think? Perhaps this is why I’m so smitten with *bespoke*. For its ninth issue, new editors Robyn and Elle redirected the mag’s focus slightly to include only Australian and NZ creatives and their handmade products. Supporting local creatives – what could be better? This issue is full of inspiration and a few gorgeous surprises. On with the preview!
